Not every bride wants to be a princess. In fact, when it comes to the fairy tale wedding, thanks to a string of stylishly dressed Hollywood super villains, some women would much rather tune their wardrobe and theming to channel the ‘witch’ – and we certainly don’t mean mother-in-laws!
“Morgana’s Bower” was photographed in an avocado orchard at Pethers Rainforest Retreat on Mt Tamborine. Located in the Gold Coast Hinterland, Pether’s is a boutique wedding venue catering for groups of up to 60 guests. Prominent features of the resort include the regions distinctive rainforest canopy, timber floors, log fireplace and an orchard straight from the pages of a storybook.
The shoot was designed and photographed by multi award winning photographer Steve McMarson. Inspired by Arthurian tales of Morgana Le Fey the theme is a tribute to the growing number of couples who are setting aside wedding conventions and traditions to design wedding celebrations that reflect their own personal style and values.
In conjunction with service providers from A Little Vintage Bliss Wedding Hub, a new Gold Coast wedding vendor collective – the images feature House of Serendipity Gowns, Bayly Allure Make-up, Di’s Hair Design, Flowers by Lynda and the furnishings of A Little Vintage Bliss.
